About

Hey there, I’m Meagan! My pronouns are she/her/hers. I appreciate you taking the time to get to know me a bit better!

My style of therapy is about helping people live more authentically by being open, honest, nonjudgmental, and caring. I work hard to build rapport and trust between us and aim to convey warmth, hope, and optimism. My goal is to help you reach your goals, improve your quality of life, and strengthen your relationships with your partners, family, friends, and coworkers. I work from a blend of therapeutic styles to create a collaborative approach that fits your unique needs based on your history and goals.

Currently, I’m seeing adults (18+) and seniors for individual sessions!

I am trained in working with you on other life issues such as depression, anxiety, stress management, grief and loss, self-esteem, trauma, infertility, postpartum depression and anxiety plus more. We will work closely to figure out your strengths, identify where you’re getting stuck, and move towards change and have a life worth living!

I have a passion for working with the LGBTQIAP+ community and persons navigating pregnancy and postpartum, parenthood, and growing your family (fertility and reproductive concerns). My clients are truly awesome people that come to me for support and guidance on a variety of life issues and want to make a plan to get better. By working together, we can help you come out to friends and loved ones, develop a plan for social and/or medical gender transition, and start to learn how to accept yourself for who you truly are!

I provide supportive therapy for GAHT (Gender Affirming Hormone Therapy) and GAS (Gender Affirming Surgery) letters for transgender and nonbinary folx upon appropriate assessment.

My Background

I have a Bachelor of Arts in Gerontology with a minor in Public Health and a Master of Arts in Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling from the University of South Florida (Go Bulls!).

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the State of Florida (MH#16969) and a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor. My experience in mental health includes counseling in community mental health agencies, outpatient mental health and substance use facilities, transitional housing settings, and private practice.

For self-care, one of my favorite pastimes is traveling and visiting National Parks (Bryce Canyon pictured here). I also enjoy cooking, reading, and going to Disney World.
